Office Visits

OFFICE VISITS

We pride ourselves on valuing your time. Therefore we have structured our appointments to limit the number of trips you need to make to our office.

YOUR FIRST VISIT (DURATION: 45 MINUTES)

Your first visit to our office is complimentary and designed to provide you with as much information about your orthodontic and dental needs as possible. During this appointment, our office will take some initial diagnostic records, consisting of digital photos of the face & teeth, a digital panoramic X-ray & a scan with our iTero scanner that can show your digital smile outcome!

Drs. Insoft and Hurst will address your primary concerns as well as provide you with a general overview of your orthodontic needs. In most cases, the doctor will let you know specifically what, if any, orthodontic treatment is needed, and our treatment coordinator will provide you with the cost associated with the various treatment options discussed.

Please be sure to bring your insurance information so we can maximize your benefit. Drs. Insoft and Hurst believe in providing patients with as much information as possible in order to allow them to make an informed decision about selecting the treatment option that best fits their concerns.

If you would like to schedule a complimentary consultation with Dr. Insoft or Dr. Hurst, please contact our office by phone or click the link to the left for us to contact you.

YOUR SECOND VISIT (DURATION: 1 HOUR)

At the second visit, the remaining diagnostic records will be taken. It consists of a Digital Cephalometric X-ray to help track the progress of the treatment, as teeth move to their new position. Next, braces will be placed, which can take up to one hour. For Invisalign patients, it will only take 15 minutes, if an Invisalign scan wasn’t taken at the 1st visit.

REGULAR APPOINTMENTS

Our use of cutting-edge technology allows patients to be seen at a 8-12 week interval, with an average adjustment appointment length of 15 minutes.

Our regular office hours vary by location. Patients are seen by appointment only. We make every effort to be on time for our patients, and ask that you extend the same courtesy to us.

If you are over 15 minutes late for your scheduled appointment, you will be rescheduled to another day. If you cannot keep an appointment, please notify us immediately. Cancel only if it is an emergency.

Most of our appointments are scheduled eight weeks in advance, so rescheduling before and after school appointments could be difficult.

PAYMENT AND OFFICE POLICIES

COST

The cost of treatment in our office is very fair & comparable to similar private orthodontic practices. Our fees are all inclusive. We will never “nickel & dime” our patients for additional appliances & services. Because every person and every mouth is different, the cost of orthodontic treatment can vary from one person to the next – or from one office to the next.

It may cost less to hire an inexperienced builder, but you will most likely not be happy with the end-result. Sometimes you really do get what you pay for…These same principles apply to choosing an orthodontic provider solely based on what the treatment might cost

FEES

In an effort to keep orthodontic fees down while maintaining the highest level of professional care, we have established this financial policy:

  • If full payment is made at the onset of treatment, we will offer a fee discount. (If you have insurance, we will offer a discount for payment of your portion of the fee that will not be covered by insurance.)
  • To fit your individual needs, interest- free financial arrangements can be made to extend your payments over a period of months.
  • For your convenience, we accept payment by all major credit cards.
  • We will make every effort to accommodate patients.

INSURANCE

If you have insurance, we will help you to determine the coverage you have available. We ask that you assign your insurance benefit to us. The balance will be arranged for you to pay (see above).

Professional care is provided to you, our patient, and not to an insurance company. Thus, the insurance company is responsible to the patient and the patient is responsible to the doctor. We will help in every way we can in filing your claim and handling insurance questions from our office on your behalf.
